Steve Moore

Steve has been representing automobile and heavy truck dealers as well as state and national automotive trade associations for 35 years. During the last 20 years, his practice has emphasized the buying and selling of dealerships, including both single point dealers and dealer groups.  He has been involved in excess of two hundred transactions, often assisting clients in identifying and evaluating potential buyers.  His wide range of experience has provided him with the background to deal with manufacturer demands and franchise issues, including rights of first refusal, that commonly arise in buy-sell transactions.  Steve currently chairs the Automotive Dealership Law Practice Group at McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC.

Dan Thompson, CPA

Dan has been working with automobile dealers for more than 40 years.  He has consulted with the Pennsylvania Automotive Trade Association and the National Auto Dealers Association on a variety of automotive issues over the years.  Dan has worked with buyers and sellers on hundreds of transactions.  His consulting services range from understanding the value of assets purchased or sold, cash flow for either buyer or seller including capital requirements and tax implications associated with the deal.  In addition, Dan assists with manufacturer applications related to transactions and works with other professionals involved in the process.   Dan is co-chair of the Boyer & Ritter Dealership Services Group.

Jay Goldman, CPA

Jay has been working with or for automobile dealerships for the past 25 years. During that time, he has consulted with clients on dozens of buy-sell transactions. He has a thorough understanding of the value proposition of the dealership, the implicit rates of return, the tax implications of the deal structure and working closely with bankers, lawyers and other key parties to make sure the transaction remains on track. Having worked and lived in the Mid-Atlantic his entire life, Jay has a myriad of contacts throughout the industry and leverages these relationships as it relates to potential buyers, sellers, lenders and the like. Jay is co-chair of the Boyer & Ritter Dealership Services Group.

Bob Murphy, CPA/ABV, CVA

Bob has been providing tax and consulting services to clients in the automobile and heavy truck dealership industry for more than 35 years.  He has worked with large dealership groups as well as single point dealers working through the ownership transition process.  He has conducted due diligence in connection with acquisitions and assisted with manufacturer applications. He is credentialed and experienced in calculating the value of businesses. Bob is the CEO of Boyer & Ritter and a senior member of the Boyer & Ritter Dealership Services Group.
